The contents of this post is just a suggestion that will most likely work. I will not advice anyone to change their dream career just because of admission, but if you are indecisive or you fall into the category of "anything goes", then you will be happy to read her suggestion which I have displayed below. THIS IS GOING TO HELP YOU IN MAKING YOUR CHOICE OF SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION.

Many people seem to be confused when it comes to selecting a course to study for supplementary, I advice all to seek courses with lower number of applicants. Courses with lower applicants stands a better chance of being admitted into the school. During the post utme exam, the following courses had their 1st choice applicants as follows:

1) Forestry & Wildlife – 2 Candidates
2) Soil Science – 23 Candidates
3) Agric Extension – 27 Candidate
4) Transport Management Tech – 27 Candidates
5) Urban & Regional Planning – 41 Candidates
6) Physics – 46 Candidates
7) Biological Science – 51 Candidates
8 ) Statistics – 53 Candidates
9) Animal Science – 54 Candidates
10) Quantity Surveying – 57 Candidates
11) Mathematics – 58 Candidates
12) Chemistry – 66 Candidates
13) Surveying & Geoinformatics – 80 Candidates
14) Polymer & Textile Eng – 91 Candidates
15) Agricultural Economics – 111 Candidates
16) Financial Management Tech – 124 candidates
17) Metallurgical & Material Eng – 125 Candidates
18) Agricultural Eng – 142 candidates
19) Prosthesis and Orthopaedic Tech – 197 Candidates
20) Food Science – 223 Candidates
21) Project Management Tech – 252 Candidates
22) Biomedical Tech – 291 Candidates
23) Maritime Management Tech – 325 Candidates
24) Geology – 497 Candidates
25) Optometry – 540 Candidates
26) BioChemistry – 617 Candidates
27) Architecture – 641 Candidates
28) Science Lab Tech – 669 Candidates
29) Information Management Tech – 728 Candidates
30) Microbiology – 817 Candidates
31) Public Health Tech – 970 Candidates
32) Chemical Eng – 1,554 Candidates
33) Computer Science – 2,143 Candidates
34) Civil Eng – 2,181 Candidates
35) Mechanical Eng – 2,827 Candidates
36) Electrical / Electronics Eng – 3,478 Candidates
37) Petroleum Eng – 3,827 Candidates.

Pick the courses with lower applicants, you stand a greater chance because they usually do not have enough people to admit, while courses with higher applicants could prove difficult.
This is why sometimes in admission lists, you may find your name in a strange department, because the school would move some of the excess from the big departments to others with few applicants. So, if you originally apply to those "scanty" departments, your chance of being admitted is 90%.
